Punjab — the food bowl of India — is struck by its worst floods in nearly four decades. Relentless rains and dam breaches swallowed 1,300 villages, took 29 lives, displaced thousands into shelters, and destroyed nearly 3 lakh acres of crops.
In Punjab’s flood-hit villages of Dera Baba Nanak Tehsil, homes stand broken, water stagnates in the streets, and families battle diarrhoea, rashes, and fear of outbreaks. With health centres cut off and crops destroyed, women, children, and elders face illness, anxiety, and the unbearable loss of security and livelihood.
At OneStage, we are on the ground, preparing a Mobile Health Unit to bring doctors, medicines, diagnostics, and psycosocial counselling directly to affected villages. For three months, it will serve thousands, prevent disease, restore maternal and child healthcare, and give families the dignity and strength to recover after the floods.
We invite Rio Tinto employees to stand with these families. Because when we give, we don’t just send help — we send the strength to endure, until their homes are rebuilt and their lives can stand tall again.
Your donation, no matter the size will bring hope in the times of despair.
