Punjab, the breadbasket of India, is facing its worst flood disaster in nearly four decades. Torrential rains and dam releases have submerged 1,300+ villages, displacing tens of thousands and destroying crops on 3 lakh acres of farmland.
The impact has been devastating:
- 29 lives lost within days.
- Tens of thousands displaced into temporary shelters.
- Nearly 3 lakh acres of crops destroyed.
- Families struggling for safe water, sanitation, and food.
Our Response
OneStage has launched a comprehensive Punjab Flood Relief & Recovery Program, combining immediate relief with a phased recovery plan:
- Distribution of relief kits with dry rations, medicines, sanitary supplies, and solar lights.
- Temporary shelters, clean water, sanitation, and medical camps for affected families.
- Support to restore agriculture and livelihoods.
- Rebuilding of critical infrastructure such as schools, handpumps, and sanitation facilities.
- Long-term resilience through village disaster committees and community-led preparedness.
